X-Ray Medical Group provides fluoroscopy imaging at our Grossmont Outpatient Imaging center in La Mesa CA.
What is Fluoroscopy?
Fluoroscopy is a technique for obtaining real time x-ray images of a patient. Our radiologists use a fluoroscope to analyze live patient anatomy by turning on and off the x-ray beam during the the procedure. While the fluoroscope beam is on, a video monitor attached to the fluoroscope shows the radiologist live movement of the patient internal anatomy.

Flouroscopy is used during many diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures. The fluoroscope is essential to observe the precise location of instrumentation and anatomical structures during both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Fluoroscopy is also used during Upper Gastrointestinal Barium studies as well as Barium Enemas.
